HMC INQ is a 10-week intensive startup program modeled after Y Combinator, but based in Santa Monica and only open to HMC graduates. 2017 marked its first class, with applications closing on May 29, programming from August 28 to November 5, and Demo Days on November 5, 6, and 8.

Startups admitted receive $120K via a YC SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) usually capped at $2M (depending on the state of the startup), office space during the program (optional), ongoing guidance from HMC INQ mentors, legal and cloud services credit, peer support, weekly dinners with guest speakers, and more.

HMC INQ requires all companies that apply have at least one HMC graduate as a co-founder (with at least 20% equity).
